The divine mother, protector of all
Maa Durga, the supreme embodiment of Shakti, is worshipped as the protector who destroys evil and blesses her devotees with courage, strength and prosperity. This murti shows her in the Ashtabhuja form, eight-armed and seated gracefully on her lion, her calm and compassionate face radiating both power and grace.
Hand-carved from bright white Vietnam marble, the statue is polished, painted and detailed entirely by hand. Her pink saree with gold motifs, green dupatta, ornate crown and radiant halo, along with the finely painted lion and gold-bordered base, make it a striking centrepiece for any home mandir.

The meaning in every detail
Eight sacred arms
As Ashtabhuja, Maa Durga holds the divine weapons gifted to her by the gods, including the sword that cuts through ignorance, the trishul that represents mastery over the three gunas, and the gada that stands for strength. Her raised right hand in Abhaya Mudra assures her devotees of protection and fearlessness.
Seated on the lion
Her vahana, the lion, symbolises courage, power and the will to uphold dharma. Riding it with ease, Maa Durga shows complete mastery over these forces.
Divine shringar
She is adorned with a gold crown and radiant halo, a delicate nath, necklaces and bangles, and a pink saree with gold floral motifs and a green dupatta, the traditional shringar of the goddess.
Gold-bordered base
The rectangular white base is finished with a fine gold border and painted dotted motifs, giving the murti a stable, elegant foundation.
